Accounts Receivable Specialist

Summary: Performs accounts receivable functions by performing the following duties

  • Apply customer payments
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies
  • Process credit card payments and credits
  • Weekly and Monthly A/R reporting
  • Prepare weekly manual deposits
  • Make Weekly A/R Calls on Past Due Account
  • Assist in Month End Closing and other general accounting functions as needed

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Associate Operations Analyst

Coordinates the planning of parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization to maximize the company’s inventory turnover and customer order fulfillment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Maintain and update Planning and Procurement parameters into JD Edwards ERP System.
  • Responsible for periodically updating forecast information received from Product Management into JD Edwards ERP System and analyses forecast accuracy.
  • Create and Analyze Inventory Reports to ensure continuity of supply and focus on Inventory Levels.
  • Assists Operations Analyst in creating and maintaining utilization reports to ensure optimum utilization of inventory.
  • Monitor and Analyze Inventory levels for critical components and flag Planning and Procurement for any low stock items.
  • Run and analyze DRP messages weekly and communicate with Operations Analyst to take appropriate actions.
  • Assist Purchasing with following up on Open Purchase orders and ensure On Time Performance from Vendors.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain.

Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning and Database Systems.

Proficient in using MS Excel and MS Access

Clinical Research Associate

Summary: Under direct supervision, manages clinical research activities associated with K2M. Performs in-house study management and travels to clinical centers monitoring adherence to the protocol and ensuring compliance with company procedures. CRA will also support all aspects of K2M Medical Education and associated programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Clinical data gathering management: trial set up, implementation and management including protocol development, data collection, and data clarification resolution
  • Recruit, qualify, and set-up investigational sites for study participation. Monitor sites to ensure data collection, filing and retrieval of documentation conforms with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and internal SOPs and policies.
  • Develop (design, prepare and finalize) study documents, reports, manuscripts for FDA submission and compliance including but not limited to (CIB, Patient Informed Consent Form (ICF), Case Report Forms (CRF), and related documents.
  • Manage and submit clinical white papers working with K2M Engineering, K2M Marketing, and K2M clinical advisors to include BSA & Silo Members
  • Contribute to ongoing departmental training and educational projects such as regional and national training courses, procedure development, and material design
  • Perform literature searches as necessary.
  • Manage the collection and maintenance of study data and collateral materials for reports to senior management and regulatory authorities
  • Participate in establishing research methodology and design format for data gathering, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires.
  • Manage and participate in training/ cadaver lab programs, research library, and other clinical areas within K2M.
  • Public speaking and clinical training to K2M staff, sales representatives, surgeons, and others.
  • Interact with the ASCEND Program and Silo supporting clinical activities throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills, meet deadlines, and present research findings.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  • BS or minimum of 2 years clinical work experience desired
  • Knowledge/ experience in medical terminology; anatomy and/ or physiology a plus
  • Clinical knowledge/ experience in spinal procedures
  • Clinical experience required. Medical device experience a plus
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills are essential
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and group facilitator process skills
  • Computer proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to routinely travel 30% of the time and coordinate a flexible schedule
  • Proficient in use of software/ technology to develop and present training, data gathering, and educational programs.
  • Show initiative, resourcefulness, creative thinking, and adaptability

Education/Experience:
BA or BS;. Business, Biology concentration a plus. CRA certificate preferred. Familiarity with human specimen handling and clinical trials logistics is desired.

Clinical Specialist (for MW and SE) (2 positions)

Summary:  Responsible for clinical surgical case proctoring or customer training activities of a designated area by performing the following duties personally or through supervision

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Represent and cover K2M surgical cases professionally, efficiently and effectively

  • Maintain a high and increasing knowledge of our instruments and implants
  • Able to succinctly articulate the proper use of K2M instruments and implants to surgeons and nurses
  • Communicate effectively with all hospital personnel, K2M employees and sales agents
  • Maintain a very professional image to all customers and K2M employees.
  • Respond promptly to all calls and emails from agents, K2M employees and hospital personnel.
  • Provide routine product in-services to K2M sales agents
  • Assist company at training classes and  company meetings
  • Complete all required and requested reports correctly and submit in a timely matter.
  • Submit weekly travel expense reports and operate within budget.
  • Maintain and routinely update data base on agents and customers
  • Report all competitive activity to Company
  • Report all questionable agent activity to Company
  • Maintain confidentiality of Company information from agents and customers

Customer Service Representative

Responsible for maintaining effective customer service for all internal and external K2M customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs.

  • Process inquiries, sales orders, and RGA's in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. Determine priority of shipments. Keep customer informed. Quickly resolve order issues to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Support data entry and tracking of International transactions.
  • Research credit/collection issues for speedy resolution. Report findings to credit/collections and process any transactions necessary.
  • Schedule loaner set usage and works closely with inventory control manager to resolve loaner issues, contact agents, and assume proper billing of loaner usage and discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, field and headquarter personnel.
  • Quickly resolves customer issues. Constantly strives to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Support and enhance a closed-loop Product Experience Report (PER) process which incorporates the maintenance and publication of RGA policies and procedures. Keep the PER system current for RA/QA and inform the customer of any problems.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least four years experience in customer service. Two years experience in the medical products industry preferred. Exposure to products inventory and inventory processes.

Engineer

Conducts engineering research and development activities on projects of a very sophisticated nature containing technology in the areas of: biomechanics and mechanisms; molded, machined, and sheet metal parts. Supervises designers and technicians; guides and reviews their progress and evaluates / approves the results of their work. Personally contributes to development activity by providing original concept work overall, and performing some detail designs for complex parts of systems and sub-components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Conceive, design and develop novel spinal implants and instruments in accordance with established policies, goals, and objectives. Assist the development of new products and product concepts using existing and emerging technologies per design control requirements.
  • Perform component and assembly design and solid modeling using solidworks CAD software for complex implant and instrument systems.
  • Participate in and lead, as applicable, design reviews.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a top engineering school, Master's degree or BS in Biomechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred

Product Manager

Plans, organizes, and controls an assigned product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
  • Coordinates technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production specific to the family of spinal products and procedures.
  • Establishes operational and project objectives and assignments and delegates assignments to project team. Directs and coordinates the activities of project team personnel (engineering, manufacturing, procurement, marketing and quality) to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Identifies market potential, establishes pricing and market strategies, estimates potential sales, introduces market, distribution/channel issues, and manages mature product through phase-out.
  • Manages the development stage of the product life cycle. Responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met including the monitoring of test reports, documentation of instructions, etc.
  • Defines promotional activities, publicizing the product through the press, sales force, and alternate distribution channels. Plan and manage trade show activities.

Requirements - B.A. or B.S.; MBA preferred, Marketing concentration a plus, 5 -10 years sales and/or Product Management experience in orthopedics, Spine experience a plus, A combination of both medical device sales and marketing/product management experience essential, Excellent Public speaking and presentation skills are essential, Computer proficiency in all Microsoft office applications.

Production Technician

Summary: Under direct supervision, cleans, packages, labels, assembles, and kits spinal implants and related instrumentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble and package spinal implants and related products:

  • Master Receipts Routing & Inventory Transfers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation
  • Transact all parts within K2M inventory

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:
Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of company products, ability to be organized, detailed, process and goal oriented, a self-starter and able to work independently, but also as a team player is necessary.

Education/Experience:
Must possess a high school diploma; and 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
