Dr. John Kostuik
John Kostuik, MD, serves as Chairman and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Kostuik was previously the Chief of Spine Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also served as President of the Scoliosis Research Society and the North American Spine Society in which he was an original member/organizer. Dr. Kostuik is recognized as one of the world's leading teachers and authorities on spine surgery. He has authored numerous papers ranging from the basic sciences of spinal pathologies to analysis and comparisons of advanced spinal technologies and patient treatments. Dr. Kostuik has been the keynote speaker at almost every major spine society in the world and has trained over 150 international spine fellows of which an estimated 145 are in active practice.
Mr. Eric Major
Eric Major is the President and CEO of K2M, Inc., a fast growing global medical device company focused on developing innovative surgical solutions for the most complex spinal pathologies. Mr. Major was previously the President and CEO of American OsteoMedix, Inc., a minimally invasive spinal device company that was acquired by Interpore International in 2001. Mr. Major served as President of the Minimally Invasive Division of Interpore International until 2002.
Mr. Major has 15 years of experience in the spine industry. Prior to founding American OsteoMedix he served in several sales/marketing, strategic and product development capacities with various spinal companies including Acromed Spine (now a Johnson & Johnson company) and Synthes Spine, Inc. Mr. Major holds a B.S. degree from James Madison University.
Mr. Richard Woods
Richard Woods serves as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Woods was formerly Vice President of Engineering at AOM From 1995 until 2004 he was Founder and President of MedCon LLC, a medical device consulting firm. From 1986 until 1995, he was Vice President of Technical Operations at Kirschner Medical Corporation. Mr. Woods has been responsible for the development of many successful medical products from initial concept through to commercialization.
Mr. Andrew Rock
Andrew Rock is the Company's Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Development. Mr. Rock was formerly Vice President of Sales at AOM, where he established a domestic sales organization of independent agents comprised of more than 200 outside sales professionals. His expertise in distribution and product development has been recognized by a number of spinal companies and he has served as a consultant, trainer and speaker for Sofamor Danek, Stryker, Interpore Cross, Osteotech and NuVasive. From 1993 through 2003 he was the founder and owner of Rock Surgical Associates an agency representing manufacturers of spinal products for the Mid-Atlantic region.
Mr. Gregory Cole
Gregory S. Cole is the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Cole is a CPA and has over 18 years of financial and management experience with public and private companies, primarily in the technology and healthcare areas. He previously acted as EVP, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Simplexity, LLC – the largest domestic online wireless products retailer with annual sales of $300 Million. He also served as Vice President and Treasurer of XM Satellite Radio Holdings, Inc. and as a financial manager and member of the privatization team at USEC, Inc. Mr. Cole began his career as a CPA with Coopers and Lybrand’s Healthcare unit. Greg has a BBA in Accounting from James Madison University in Virginia and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Tom Delaney
Tom Delaney is the Company’s International General Manager. Mr. Delaney is a CPA and has over twenty five years of financial and management experience with public and private healthcare and technology companies. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of K2M and as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GloboMax, LLC, a Contract Research Organization and maintained overall management of financial, administrative, project management and quality assurance. He also acted as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cellco, Inc., a venture capital backed medical device company. Mr. Delaney has experience as Chief Financial Officer of ProScience, Inc., an animal diagnostic company and Media Cybernetics, a software imaging company both of which were venture capital backed. He also directed the IPO of PHP Healthcare, Inc., a healthcare provider.
Mr. Dave MacDonald
Dave MacDonald is the Company's Senior Vice President of Operations & Human Resources. Mr. MacDonald was formerly Vice President of Gould Optronics, where he had total P&L responsibility. He was also the Director of Operations/ Administration for various divisions of Kirschner Medical Corporation.
Mr. Lane Major
Lane Major is the Company's Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Major was formerly a spinal sales specialist for Stryker Spine. He holds a dual B.B.A in Marketing and Computer Information Systems.
Mr. Mike Parkman
Mike Parkman is the Company's Vice President of the Complex Spine Unit. Mr. Parkman has over 20 years of sales and management experience within the healthcare industry. His expertise in pharmaceuticals, cardiovascular devices, and spinal devices comes from his extensive background at UAD Laboratories, W. L. Gore & Associates, Thoratec, CarboMedics, and DePuy Spine. Mr. Parkman holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University.
Ms. Vicki Phillos
Vicki Phillos serves as the Company's Vice President of Customer Care. She joined K2M in 2005 from United States Pharmacopeial Convention where she was Manager, Customer Service. Ms. Phillos previously was the Customer Service Manager at Dynal Biotech and from 1988- 2000 served in a variety of Customer Service roles for American Type Culture Collection. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Mr. Mark Richardson
Mark Richardson is the Company's Vice President of Finance. Mr. Richardson was formerly Controller for Gould Optronics. He also held senior accounting positions with a number of companies in the medical industry including various corporate and divisional financial positions with Kirshner Medical Corporation.
Mr. John Ulmer
John Ulmer is the Company's Vice President of Sales. Mr. Ulmer was formerly Vice President of Sales, Minimally Invasive Division, of Interpore International. He was also Western Director of Sales for Sulzer SpineTech, and has held numerous executive management positions with Ethicon, Inc., Karl Storz Endoscopy and Imagyn Medical Technologies.
