K2M Announces Debut of PYRENEES® Translational Cervical Plate System and CHESAPEAKE® Cervical-Ti Stabilization System at 2011 Congress of Neurological Surgeons

Furthering the company’s commitment to treating the full spectrum of spine pathologies, the CHESAPEAKE® Cervical-Ti Stabilization System is a multi-screw construct providing stability to the anterior column, while reducing the need for supplemental fixation in the cervical spine. The latest addition to the family of PYRENEES® Cervical Plate Systems, the PYRENEES Translational Cervical Plate is characterized by a unidirectional ratchet mechanism at each level to allow for controlled settling of the patient’s anatomy.
Featuring K2M’s revolutionary tifix® Locking Technology, neither product requires an additional locking mechanism, as each screw head forms an autogenic lock to the plate upon insertion.

CHESAPEAKE Cervical-Ti allows for anterior fixation with a zero-profile design. Manufactured from Grade II Titanium, the cervical stabilization system features a multi-screw construct with 14° converging angles.
The PYRENEES Translational Cervical Plate joins a family of spine products, including PYRENEES Constrained, a low-profile cervical plate system with a 1.5 mm leading edge.
